Highly respected and established FIA competition / road E-Type

Jaguar 3.8 Lightweight 5104 WKOverview

A very special Lightweight E-Type

Built many years ago by the authoritative experts, Paul Webb and Mick Harris, this was constructed around the last brand new factory made bodyshell. The finest attention to correct detail has been made - ensuring the maximum authenticity possible - and it was exhaustively developed and honed to perfection, making it work superbly as well.

Detail includes aluminium panels, an aluminium engine block, and the best upgrade parts possible that maintain FIA registration. It is fully road compliant – and in fact a joy to use on the road.

The project took a great deal of time and patience to complete and the result is quite incredible. The Briggs Cunningham Lightweights provided the theme and the famous blue stripes over cream remain as stunning today as ever. The registration number of 5104 WK  shall remain with this car, and is the perfect finishing touch - considering that the original Briggs car was registered 5114 WK.

5104 WK is now  truly established, recognized, and has a successful race and rally career behind it (see below). The history and FIA papers assure that many doors are now open for its acceptance in the most prestigious competition events.   The history file includes a detailed photographic record of the build process, FIA certification, full details of the engine rebuild in November and a glowing magazine feature, which includes the cover image.

It remains in outstanding condition and with the very highest level of specification. The engine has just been rebuilt by Trafford Competition Engines and the car is ready to compete on the circuit, international rallies - or to be enjoyed simply as a very, very special road going Jaguar E-type.

An E-type supplied by Historic Classics benefits from preparation by sister company, Eagle E-Types. The legendary Eagle process is fanatical and quite simply the most expert and thorough that is possible.
